Mojo 206 -- Live the Life You've Imagined

Hello! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch (#206).. I hope you will join us for Round or Square week!

My sentiment is from Verve's Words of Wisdom, which I thought went well with the "Dream" on the patterned paper. I used the Rounded Rectangle Die for both of my rectangular panels, die cutting one in vellum so I wouldn't cover up the patterned paper and turning one sideways. I added a pearl button and some twine to the center of my flower, which is is cut using the Loopy Blooms Die Set. I also added some natural twill, shiny gold pearls (from Pizzazz Aplenty).

Here's a look at Julee's fabulous sketch:

JustRite Cling September Release -- Shabby Chic Labels Four

Edited to add direct links.

Hello! Welcome to Day 3 (the final day) of JustRite Stampers September release! We are introducing 3 cling sets that were previewed at Summer CHA in July. All sets work well together, so you may see some of the designers using images/sentiments from multiple sets. Today we are introducing CL-02190 Shabby Chic Labels Four.

Once again, I used the post card words from CL-02190 Greetings from Paris and die cut with the largest rectangle from JB-08950 Nested Frame Dies. Next, I stamped one of the ornate labels from CL-02190 Shabby Chic Labels Four, added some color to the roses with Copic markers, then I die cut it with the coordinating Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities. I added a little tag (also using the Nested Frames Dies) with my sentiment and tied it on with twine.

Edited to add direct links.

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 (of 3) of JustRite Stampers September release! We are introducing 3 cling sets that were previewed at Summer CHA in July. All sets work well together, so you may see some of the designers using images/sentiments from multiple sets. Today we are introducing CL-02190 Greetings from Paris.

I started by stamping and embossing the postcard words onto vellum, then I die cut with JB-08950 Nested Frame Dies. I stamped one of the sentiments (From Paris with Love), die cut a tag and tied it onto my seam binding.

JustRite Cling September Release -- Bon Voyage

If you are looking for my Sparkle Creations card, please scroll down or click HERE... Thank You!

Edited to add direct links.

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 (of 3) of JustRite Stampers September release! We are introducing 3 cling sets that were previewed at Summer CHA in July. All sets work well together, so you may see some of the designers using images/sentiments from multiple sets. Today we are introducing CL-02185 Bon Voyage.

I started with a sheet of patterned paper that went well with the Paris theme, but I decided to tone it down a bit by adding some cream vellum over it and did some distressing. I stamped the element in the left corner and used one of the ornate labels to frame my simple sentiment. My label was die cut with Spellinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities.

Hello! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch (#205).. I hope you will join us this week!

My sentiment is from another new set, Making a Statement. In case you missed it, Verve is celebrating 4 years with a big Anni-VERVE-sary sale... HERE!

CR84FN36, Week 2 -- Ticket to My Heart

If you are looking for my Taylored Expressions August Key Ingredients post, please scroll down or click HERE... Thank you!!

Hello! It's week 2 for the current CR84FN Challenge! If you haven't played along yet, you have just under another week to play in CR84FN36. Our color palette is Yellow, Kraft and Neutral. The lovely photos in the graphic above are courtesy of Martha Stewart.

I had a little time this morning, so I decided to create something for fun (that's what this challenge is all about :)). Sabrina started school this week, and while I know that's a good thing for her, I still miss having her at home with me. This card is for my sweet girl...

I pulled out some of My Favorite Things goodies and got to playing! I started by stamping, coloring and cutting out the sweet girl from PI - Sunflower Girl. For my sentiment, I layered a couple of tickets that I created using Die-namics Just the Ticket and stamp set. Instead of stamping the heart from the stamp set, I added a rhinestone heart to the ticket as well as a few yellow gold (though they photographed darker) rhinestones from Pizzazz Aplenty.

For sketch inspiration, I used this week's My Favorite Things WSC Getting Sketchy #33 from My Favorite Things. All the challenge details can be found HERE:

Taylored Expressions August Key Ingredients Blog Hop!!

Hello! Welcome to the first Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Blog Hop! Today, we are showcasing the August Key Ingredients kit! Each month, we show you 6 days of projects on the Key Ingredients blog to get your creative juices flowing. In case you missed any of this, please be sure to check out the Key Ingredients blog HERE.

With the fun, whimsical patterns and great embellishments (including letter stickers) in this month's kit, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a scrapbook layout. Sabrina just started 3rd grade this week, so I made a first day of school layout (layout is 8.5" x 11"). I added a couple of felt clouds (die cut with the Clouds Duo Die) and popped them with foam tape.

For the title, I first die cut a label using the Take Note 3 Die. Next, I added my title using a combination of letter stickers and my own handwriting). Here's a detail shot:

I also stitched on a sticker ("you're the best") onto my photos, tied ribbon and added a few rhinestones (all included in the kit). The Dr. Seuss quote is from The Places You'll Go (which is currently on sale!).

Please be sure to check out the other Key Ingredients designers for some wonderful inspiration! Here's the complete hop list:

Hello! I'm excited to be participating in the August Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop! Each month, Taylor invites her customers to participate in this fun hop and feature Taylored Expressions Stamps! The theme for our hop is Collector's Anonymous. I stamped and colored the Summer Wreath and die cut it with the matching Seasonal Wreath die. My sentiment is also from Summer Wreath. I also added a layered butterfly (cut from vellum) using the Butterflies die.

My patterned paper, cardstock, and rhinestones are from the Taylored Expressions August Key Ingredients kit. My ribbon and button are from older Taylored Expressions kits. If you are unfamiliar with these kits, you can learn all about them on the Key Ingredients blog, HERE.

I used Sankari's fun sketch for my layout:

Mojo 204 -- With Sympathy

Hello! It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch (#204).. I hope you will join us this week!

I am slowly chipping away at the sympathy cards that we are needing to send out to our extended family. I used Forever in Our Hearts today and paired it with some new My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2 Breeze paper. For once I stuck pretty close to the sketch, just adding a trio of small roses, some twine and a pearl from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Here's a look at Julee's fabulous sketch:

CR84FN36 -- Thoughts and Prayers

Hello! It's time for another CR84FN Challenge! Thank you to all who joined us last time.. it was fun viewing all of your fabulous creations! For the next challenge (CR84FN36), our color palette is Yellow, Kraft and Neutral. This challenge will last for 2 weeks. The lovely photos in the graphic above are courtesy of Martha Stewart.

Unfortunately, our extended family suffered the loss of a couple of family members in the last week. I don't typically have sympathy cards in my stash, so I will be making several over the next weeks or so. For this one, I combined a couple of sentiments from MFT's Clearly Sentimental About Sympathy. I went with a muted yellow instead of a happy yellow. My base patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Sunshine collection.

For sketch inspiration, I used this week's My Favorite Things WSC Getting Sketchy #32 from My Favorite Things. All the challenge details can be found HERE:
